One more freaking day!
Yes. I've almost survived sophomore year. Today was the hardest final that I have. The chemistry National Final. It was difficult, because I was trying to get a raw A (90% of the questions correct). Did I get it? I don't think so, but there is a chance. I made a little tally mark on my scratch paper for every question that I wasn't sure of the answer to. It ended up being something like 12 questions I had to guess on, but they were educated guesses, so there is still a slim ray of hope. After chem I had the percussion hour final (ie jack off and play football). The real final in perc. hour was to clean out our lockers, but I had a lot of stuff and nowhere to put it. I ended up calling my mom and asking her to pick my stuff up after school. It was just a half-day today so a few friends and I went to Casella's for lunch. It was as crowded as I've ever seen it. Afterwards we hit Y.C.'s for $.75 frozen yogurt. woo. Big thanks to Lauren and Katie for driving. I need to drive. I need to be sixteen. dammit. After that we went to see Troy. I've never gone to a rated R movie without an adult, but it was really easy for five underage kids to waltz up an buy tickets. Oh well, I'm not complaining. Troy really could've been rated PG-13, if they cut back on the nudity. But then again, Brad Pitt needs his sexy body to make up for his complete lack of acting talent. Maybe it wasn't that he's a bad actor, it's just that all the other acting was good to the point that he paled by comparison. Orlando Bloom is also, as rumors suggest, in this movie. I'm not sure if it's him, or just the part of Paris, but I found myself hating him. His character really came off as an asshole. I did, however, enjoy the part where he looks at some random guy, and says, "what's your name?" "Aeneas" he replies. Paris then gives him this sword and tells him to flee and keep Troy alive. Not historically accurate, but who cares? It's a movie, not a documentary. Overall I'd give this movie a rating of 57/19. The acting was good, for the most part. The battle scenes got dull after a while. If you want to know what the fighting was like imagine Saving Private Ryan. With spears. And the Allies never make it off the damn beach. It's kind of like that. At least LOTR had giant oliphants. Enjoyed the movie, and I enjoyed hanging out with my friends in the real world even more. I need to do that more often. It's time to feed the dog. bye!
