Brent's Blog Sunday, June 13, 2004  8:57 PM   Computer Woes  I had a weird dream last night. I dreamed that I had to go back to school and play at a symphony concert. I was sightreading the music and sounded horrible. I also kept trying to talk to my friend who plays viola, but he was too obsessed with his new girlfriend to hear me. Why are all my dreams messed up? Is it because deep down inside I desire to be accepted by my peers as "normal"? Am I fraught with sexual insecurities? Is there a blue crayon stuck in my brain? Alas, such is life. I'm posting this from the Linux machine because my sister beat me to the good computer and the other one is being bitchy. And by "bitchy" I mean that it won't even boot into windows. It doesn't detect the hard drives. The first time it did this I though it was the cheap hard drive acting up, and convinced my mom to buy a new one. It worked for about a week, and then reverted to not booting again. Turns out it's the motherboard. At least, I think it's the motherboard. Mom agreed to take my to Fry's Electronics on Friday, so the computer is down 'till then. I'm gonna have to pay for the new motherboard out of my pocket, which won't be too much, but I'm thinking of also upgrading the graphics card. Right now she's running a TNT 2. Not what you'd call top of the line. I'm going to look for a cheap GeForce3. That way, it'll be all souped up for the LAN party. *segue* I've scheduled the next LAN party for the week of July 4-10, so if you're interested post a comment or e-mail me (if I know you, if you're some random person reading my blog then ignore the previous sentence). I just saw Shrek 2 again it was funny the first time, but less so this time. I saw with the church group, so I sat next to Trox and Jack and we made funny comments. Before the movie we ate dinner at the food court. I don't say this enough, but the food court at PV sucks. I got Panda Express and they DIDN'T GIVE ME MY FORTUNE COOKIE! butt-heads.
