  Take that, Southeast Asia!
Today the cornerstone for the new Freedom Tower was laid. At 1,776 feet tall it will become the tallest building in the world (not to be mistaken with the tallest man-made structure in the world-the CN Tower). Most of the current tallest buildings in the world are located in Southeast Asia. I think it's good that America is going to reclaim the title.

I downloaded iTunes today, it's really neat. I can find almost any classical music I want on there, including the overture to Smetana's "The Bartered Bride". Mom dropped off the film from Hawaii at Costco today so I'll be giving a vacation slideshow in a few days.

Today's link of the day is a parody on the famous Slashdot.org. Slashdot is a news site for geeks, and a very popular one at that. Over the years, /. has caused so many sites to crash simply by linking to them that it has become known as "the slashdot effect". Anywho, today's link is to Slashnot.com. Enjoy!
