I could eat so much hotsauce right now.
This day in History:
- 1882 - Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" debuted in Moscow.
- 1977 - Voyager 2 lifted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida on a mission to explore the outer planets of the solar system.
I went to the dentist after school today to get a cavity filled. He gave me a shot of lidocaine, anyways, that stuff that they inject and then you sit around for five minutes making pointless small talk until the numbness sets in. Well after the required chit-chat I was feeling a little numb so we started. I could pretty much feel the drill violating my tooth right away, so he gave me another shot of anesthetic. Another five to ten minutes and I still wasn't numb enough so he just said screw it, and gave me a third one. At this point I'm pretty worried about the health of my mouth because this stuff is in the same chemical family as cocaine. I asked him about it and apparently (I didn't get this far) a person can safely receive up to eight shots of it with no ill effect. So after the third one numbness was pretty much instant and they got to work. Didn't take too long, but I was numb for a really long time after that. The hotsauce thing is a reference to the comic Foxtrot. Mike if you're reading, I think you're the only one to get it. Anyways, finished my English essay not too long ago and read a little of Huck Finn too. I still have ~250 pages to finish this weekend.
Did you enjoy the movie Tron? Did its cutting edge cinematic orgy of special effects leave you on the edge of your seat? Are you disappointed that there's not a good Tron videogame out? Then try your hand at
Armagetron (Pronunciation: just like Armageddon, just with a "tr" instead of the "dd"). It's a free, open-source game in which you ride around on those little motorcycles from the movie and try not to crash into stuff. It's really fun (despite my lame attempt at a description of it).
