  No, I'm not dead.
This day in History:
  • 1989 - Voyager 2 spacecraft flies by Neptune.
  • 1991 - Linus Torvalds first says in a post to the comp.os.minix newsgroup that he is working on a new free computer operating system. (that's Linux, boys and girls)
okay, I've been away from this blog for far too long. Everyday I think should I post or do homework? So far it's been homework, but now I think that I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. I will now proceed to ramble about my classes and school in general.

We played concert music for the first time in band today. Man, I hate just sitting around while everyone plays marching music. God, I miss marching band; I feel like a recovering addict. American History has been pretty good to me so far. This is going to be easy because I've already taken American History in summer school back when I thought that I'd be doing two band classes this year. All my planning was for naught. I should just stop trying to plan stuff, it never works out that way. The teacher seems nice, if a little crazy. She blames everything on the fact that men repressed women in the colonial times. We were talking about Ann Hutchinson and she was like, "and because she was a woman, they exiled her". That's not true, well yes it is. If she was a man she'd be executed. I think she got off easy because she was a woman. Anyways, Latin II is going to be cool, if just for the fact that Bailey is teaching it. I'd be nice if he would coach speech and debate instead of making us look for some other bozo to do it. Physics will rock. Projects will rock. Bottle rocket will rock(et). haha, get it? bad pun, so shoot me. Trig/PreCalc is where the day starts to get good. Lauren, Mike, John, Steve, and Zach all in one class. Of course, John Steve and I just kinda hang out in the back corner of the room and give eachother the finger while we should be doing our homework, but hey, that's what notes time is for. I'm staying in English III honors, but only if I don't get anything less than an A on anything I do. Well, fuck. I'll give it the old college try though, and that's about all anyone can ask.

Enough about school. Today I went to Borders to pick up some reading for English class. And also some Manga and the last New Jedi Order book. I bought Cannery Row, Naruto vol.1, Banner of Stars (Crest of Stars vol.2), and The Unifying Force. I still have about 50 pages left on Huck Finn, hope to finish that one tonight and start Banner of Stars, and also finish Story of Philosophy. I have so much reading that I want/have to do, I'll be kept busy for quite some time. I was talking on AIM today and a friend sent me this excellent picture:

I also finally made a panoramic from the pictures of the DCI world championships award ceremony.

If you want the large version contact me on AIM, my screen name is eagle8635.
