Five weeks down, four to go.
This day in History:
- 1913 - First paved coast-to-coast highway opened in the U.S.
- 1960 - Mickey Mantle hits the Major League's longest home run, sending the ball an estimated 643 feet.
- Randy Johnson, baseball pitcher was born on this day in 1963.
Didn't do too much today. The highlights if my day were giving John the finger in math class for the eleventh day in a row (see picture at right), and getting a 47/50 on my East of Eden essay. I don't know how the
hell I did that. By all rights I should have failed. Hey, I'm not complaining. Got home from school and I had the house to myself because my sister is spending the night at a friend's house. Oh yeah, went to the Europe trip meeting last night, I'll probably go on the trip, assuming I don't go on the student ambassador trip to Japan this summer (it might be hard to find a group in my area that's going). Put in about four hours on Tales of Symphonia, that game kicks unbelievable amounts of ass. It doesn't make the best first impression because the first few cutsceans are subpar, and the live action combat can be tricky at first, but after you break through the crust you find the sweet confectionary of gaming delight that has won this game so many rave reviews. And, with two disks and eighty hours of gameplay it's both quanity and quality. More stuff on various topics tomorrow (if I have time, tomorrow promises to be a busy day).
LotD today is the joy that is, in fact,
Unix on a GBA.
