Brent's Blog Thursday, February 03, 2005  11:43 PM   Hello.  Well, it has been quite a while since I posted anything of true value. I'm sorry about my little unannounced hiatus, but there was some stuff that came up. I'm not going to explain further here in what is essentially a public forum, but I will tell you some stuff I've been up to. Since the last time I posted I've: Almost killed a snowboarder Encouraged a middle aged man to drive a minivan above ninety miles an hour Seen a friend receive a glancing blow from an SUV (the SUV won) reinstalled Windows three 582,427,429 times Been in the back of Mike's car (to play chess) Not signed up for any classes yet Not written my debate cases Learned Katakana Learned that they make Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper Driven waaay over the speed limit with the windows down and DDR blaring Frequented hobby stores with Lauren Reached level 18 in World of Warcraft Had a philosophical discussion in the parking lot of a Taco Bell Driven 150 miles of city driving in two days Failed to make regionals I'm sure there's more but that's all I can think of right now. I've decided to resume posting basically as a way of avoiding my dreaded debate cases that I still haven't written. I'm sure if Pat cared he would hate me for this. Tomorrow is going to be interesting. I have my fist debate tournament, I really hope I do poorly so I don't have to give up Saturday to return for semi-finals. I also have to convince a counselor that I'm a real human who is in fact not so wretched as to be unable to carry out a meaningful dialogue, so I can try to get my schedule for next year straightened out. Right now I've decided on: Men's Choir Calculus BC AP Biology II AP Government AP / Economics H Latin III Physics II (dual enrollment) English IV AP The only one I don't know about yet (yes, I still have room left) is between Wind Ensemble and Psychology AP. I'm thinking Wind Ensemble, even though I promised myself that I would quit. Anyone have suggestions on that one? Also tomorrow, the SAT scores are released, I feel a little nervous about it, but I guess I shouldn't because any action on my part won't affect them.
