This day in History:
- 1492 - Christopher Columbus sets sail from Palos de la Frontera, Spain.
- 1914 - First World War: Germany declares war against France.
- 1958 - Nuclear submarine USS Nautilus travels beneath the Arctic ice cap.
Sorry if I sounded angsty or whatever yesterday, I try not to let emotions control my though process, but even I slip occasionally.
Last night we went to the laundromat to wash some clothes. It was about time too. The real highlight of the day was getting a laptop that my parents rented and sent from home. You really are dead here without one. It's an ok model, which was a pleasant surprise. My class has been doing a lot of drills lately, stuff like reading out loud with a pen in your mouth, or cross examination practice, reading passages out loud backwards, word economy drills. I'm getting sick of them. Tomorrow I just want to sit down and get in a few hours of research for the big paper due on Thursday. The subject: Social Welfare and the free market economy.
If you'd like to read a good webcomic I'd suggest
VG Cats (as if I don't link to enough webcomics already).
